Phone and text scam reports

Scam calls, checked and reported in seconds

Some of the most convincing scams arrive by phone or text: a friendly voice from “the housing team” or “the official directory”. Exhibitors can check any number against yours, and report a call so you know about it.

The problem

A phone call leaves no trail

Calls feel personal and urgent, and there’s no email to forward. Exhibitors are pushed to decide on the spot, and often do.

You only hear about it afterwards, if at all.

How it works

4 simple steps

1

List your official numbers

And your official suppliers’.

2

Exhibitors check a number

On your check page, in seconds.

3

They report the call

What was said, and what they were asked for.

4

You confirm and warn

Everyone who checks that number is told.

Check the number, not the voice

Your official phone numbers, and your suppliers’, are on your check page. Anyone who gets a call can check the number before they pay or give details, and see who your real partners are instead.

  • Official numbers shown clearly
  • Your official suppliers listed
  • Calls and texts reported in a minute

The urgent call

An exhibitor’s sales manager is told by phone that their stand will be released unless the balance is paid today, to a new account. She puts the number into the check page: not an official number, and the event’s accounts contact is shown instead. She reports the call, and the organiser warns every exhibitor that afternoon.
